Cancel iLovePDF subscription
iLovePDF Premium is around $7/month billed annually, or about $9/month billed monthly. Most users who subscribe end up paying for 6–12 months before realizing their actual usage is 3–5 tasks a month — half of which they could have done free on the non-premium tier.
To cancel: sign in at ilovepdf.com, click your profile in the top right, open 'My account', go to 'Subscription' or 'Billing', and click 'Cancel subscription'. If the UI redirects you through a retention survey before the button appears, just pick any option — the cancel button unlocks on the next screen. Web subscriptions can only be cancelled from the web; mobile app subscriptions must be cancelled from the App Store or Play Store.
Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. For refund requests on a recent charge, email support@ilovepdf.com; their terms reference a 14-day window for annual plans. Going forward, the question is whether you actually need a subscription at all — if you do 10 or fewer operations a month, a one-time coin pack on PennyPDF is a better fit.
How it works
- 1Sign into ilovepdf.com. If you can't remember which email you used, check your bank statement — iLovePDF charges show as 'ILOVEPDF.COM' or 'ILOVEPDF SL'.
- 2Avatar menu → My account → Subscription.
- 3Click 'Cancel subscription'. Ignore the retention offer unless the discount actually matches your usage.
- 4Save the confirmation email. If it doesn't arrive within 5 minutes, the cancel may not have completed — try again.
- 5Plan: buy a PennyPDF Mini pack ($0.99, 10 coins) as a low-commitment replacement for the occasional task.

Does iLovePDF refund unused annual subscription time?+
Their terms reference a 14-day refund window for the most recent billing event. Outside that window, refunds are at their discretion and typically declined. Always ask — polite emails to support@ilovepdf.com succeed more often than not.
Will my processed files disappear?+
iLovePDF deletes files 2 hours after processing regardless of plan. Nothing is tied to your subscription in terms of file retention.
I don't remember signing up. Why am I being charged?+
Most often: you installed the mobile app, used a Premium feature during a free trial, and forgot to cancel before day 7. App Store subscriptions are separate from web — cancel in iOS Settings → Subscriptions or Play Store → Subscriptions.
Can I cancel and keep using the free tools?+
Yes. iLovePDF Free has a 2-task-per-hour limit, 25MB file cap, and some watermarks. For un-gated free use (including merge, split, rotate) consider PennyPDF — those tools are free with no daily limit.
Can I downgrade instead of cancelling?+
iLovePDF's only tiers are Free and Premium — there's no middle. You cancel to drop back to Free. If Free is too limited but Premium too expensive, pay-per-use is the middle ground you're actually looking for.
